Sam Mendes

Sam Mendes is an English-born director whom little is really known about. He was probably born in 1965. In 1999, he made his debut with the film “American Beauty,” the picture delighted viewers and critics all over the world. The work won 8 Oscar nominations, which resulted in 5 statuettes, including the one for the Best Film. Few directors can boast such a phenomenal and unexpected debut. Sam Mendes has made many very successful films: “Road to Perdition,” “Jarhead,” “Revolutionary Road,” and the excellent war drama “1917”. The director also made two spectacular works about the adventures of James Bond (“Skyfall” and “Spectre”).
